Nitro the Sheltie    

We bought Nitro from Apple Acres Sheltie's when Dylan was 9 after he lost his Lab.  We lived in an apartment and large dogs were not an option, but it was recommended that Dylan have a 'friend' as a therapy dog.  I had ALWAYS wanted a Sheltie and had never had a small dog before....He was born in 2003 and has proved to be an excellent choice for our family and Dylan's companion!! We of course knew nothing about sheltie puppies and keeping their ears glued, so we are often asked what kind of 'mix' he is..LOL You can see in the last two photos we had him cut down for the summer in 2012 and he LOVED it!! We moved to the country and he is enjoying checking the property lines and having room to roam....
